Professor Guhan Subramanian re-visited the group to share his knowledge and expertise on the topic of Advanced Negotiations.  The advanced negotiation lecture included how to process and design a deal.  Participants learned how to conceptualize process and substance in a manner that created them to be cognizant of opportunities that led to successful opportunities that encompassed both substantive advantages and an advantageous process.

 

Professor Larry Susskind incorporated many of the elements of prior lectures within the framework of multi-party negotiations.  In addition to reviewing what it means to negotiate, he addressed the conventional wisdom participants had about negotiation, and the problems presented by the framework.  Setting standards and creating time for evaluation and reflection added to the participants’ comprehensive approach while interacting and negotiating for favorable outcomes with multiple parties.
