Former Ecuadorian President Jamil Mahuad gave a talk about negotiations that lead to a peace agreement that ended Peru and Ecuador’s 400 hundred year ongoing border dispute.  Through both a lecture format and power point presentation he explained how the border dispute had existed for decades.  He spoke about how each country viewed that piece of land, and how he and then-president of Peru, Alberto Fujimori ended the dispute through a series of meetings, and strategic negotiations that led to the end of a peaceful centuries old dispute.
